I love the Velvet Note! Every time I go in there the place is like magic! It's cozy, intimate, and upscale. The staff is superb! The owner herself is very warm personable to everyone! The musicians are excellent! To me the best night to go is Thursday Nights because that's their "Jam Session" night. On that night, a mixture of talent comes out of the woodwork from Metro Atlanta and sit in or sing with the band....it's truly magical! Also, the sound system is state of the art in the Velvet Note. It was especially made for that venue. You won't go wrong with the Velvet Note. Enjoy!
Wonderful atmosphere, staff was courteous and personable. Small intimate setting and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
If you've never been, I do not discourage you from going but advise to keep your expectations in check for customer experience.
Great music, decent food, okay service, mediocre value. We went for my wife's birthday and I'm glad we went but likely won't be back unless I want to see a specific musician playing there. It was a CD release performance; the musicians were excellent and the space was very nice for enjoying the music. Admission was a little expensive ($34 pp) for only one set. There is no food/drink minimum, but I would have gladly exchanged a minimum for the price of admission since the tab was ~$140 for the two of us including $6 for bottled water (no option). The servers were very nice but there were a couple of customer experience issues that should not happen at a well-run small business: the wines we ordered were (significantly) different vintages than in the menu, and after a mix-up with our appetizer the server said dessert would be on the house but instead we were credited $2.
A great night out! Intimate but not a hole on the wall. It was a professional and high quality show. Wonderful set- Great music, snacks, ambiance. Must buy in advance as they sell out. I'm a New Yorker, but sorry Harlem, you've got competition in Alpharetta!
A very nice setting, perfect for date night or enjoying a night out with close friends. The owner has a warm intro/opening. Intimate venue. Recommended for sure. I'll be back.
